Deborah Ann Nierode, age 72, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 13, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1953, in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Ellsworth and Phyllis Heinen, who preceded her in death.
Anyone who knew Deb knew she had a fun and loving personality. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed dancing, alpacas, and watching vampire and werewolf movies all night at full volume. She also acquired a passion for traveling. She enjoyed her years living in Italy and shared her experiences living there with everyone she met.
Deb is survived by her children, Joel (Lisa) Nierode, Jerrod Nierode and John Nierode; brother Kent (Gloria) Heinen and sister Connie Heinen; grandsons Ethan, Jackson, Avery and Alex Nierode; and nephew Nick Doro.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and her fur baby, Peanut.
A memorial service is pending and will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to any no kill animal shelter.
