

Her husband and daughters were by her side.
Debra was born on September 17, 1952, in DeWitt, Iowa to William and DeLores (Stoefen) Carlson. She was the oldest of three children, with siblings Lori and Craig Carlson. She graduated from DeWitt High School in 1971.
On July 21, 1978, she was united in marriage to Michael McGregory in DeWitt, Iowa. They celebrated 47 years of marriage this year and lived in Eldridge where they raised their two children, Jenny and Melissa.
Debbie retired from Cobham, now Eaton, in 2015, where she worked in accounting. She was a talented pianist in her younger years, accompanying her high school choir and local churches, and taught piano lessons. She was an avid gardener and an amazing cook. Debbie could always be found supporting her husband at his karate events and her grandchildren at all of their activities.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mike; her children, Jenny Bayles and Melissa (Tim) Von Muenster; her brother Craig (Julie) Carlson; and brother-in-law Rod (Sandy) McGregory. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jordan Bayles, Jake Bayles, Cole Bayles, Lane Von Muenster, Lauren Von Muenster, and Sam Von Muenster; a niece, Katie Carlson; and nephews Ben Carlson and Jeremy McGregory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dee Carlson; sister, Lori Carlson; and her in-laws Wayne and Linda McGregory.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Runge Mortuary in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 3pm to service time.
She will be laid to rest at Elvira Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
The family would like to thank the medical staff of MercyOne Genesis East in Davenport and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for their passionate care and guidance during her brief illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debra’s name to The Family House of Peoria, a not-for-profit organization that provides free, temporary housing to families of adult patients facing serious health challenges.
