Dennis B. DeCock

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 4-7 pm at The Runge Mortuary. There will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may go to a favorite charity.

Dennis was born January 13, 1947 in Davenport to Charles and Norma DeCock. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1965. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He graduated from the two –year apprenticeship program at Caterpillar. He retired from there after 32 years of service. He went on to work at several manufacturing companies in Iowa and Illinois. He eventually retired again from Collis, Inc. in Clinton. He married Barbara Johnson on October 2, 1968 in Long Grove, IA.

He received his pilot’s license, liked to read and play golf. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in school academics and sports.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Barb, children: Daniel, Jean and Marcia; grandchildren: Ashlee, Kaylyn, Allison, Megan, Lacey, Maysen, Hunter and Navy; great grandchildren: Lainey, Harrison, Kaylahni, Silas, Beau, Kolton and Sloan; brothers: Richard, Ronald and twin brother, Dale and his rescued pet, “Kitty” He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nelda.
