Dennis Patrick Gibson

Davenport, IA Funeral services for Dennis P. Gibson, 58, of Davenport, will be at 5:00 pm on Monday at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Monday from 2:00 pm to service time at the Mortuary. A private family inurnment will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Dennis passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.Dennis Patrick Gibson was born on April 18, 1952 in Davenport, the son of Fred and Marian (Wafer) Gibson. He worked as a fork truck operator at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 2003.Dennis was a member of the U.A.W. #281, and the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.Survivors include his daughter; Gretchen (Jacob) Fischlein of Davenport, son; Kyle Gibson of Eldridge, sister; Sue Doss of Biggsville,IL, brother Michael Gibson of Sacramento, CA., and step-father; Thomas Wafer of Davenport.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
