Dennis E. West

Dennis E. West, 66, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. Services honoring his life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. West was born on November 15, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, a son of Eugene and Minnie (Kopatich) West. He was united in marriage to Patricia West and later to Dawn West. He served in the National Guard for two years. He owned and operated his own masonry business, West Construction. Dennis loved being with his friends, and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, as well as spending time with his grandsons.

Those honoring his life are his sons, Brett West, of Davenport, Chad West of Davenport, and Beau West of Bettendorf; his grandsons, Jake and Justin, and his special friend, Dawn Burke. Mr. West was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
