Mr. Donald C. Graves

Donald Carl Graves, 80, of Buffalo passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010 1:00 p.m. in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Donald was born January 1, 1930 in Grundy Center, IA the son of Carl and Anna (Uschkrat) Graves. He was united in marriage to Marian Stumberg on August 31, 1951 in Grundy Center, IA

He was employed with the teamsters Local 371, as a truck driver for 27 years, retiring from Farm House Foods.

Donald was a member of Local 371 and AARP.

He was a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Cubs. Donald was known by his friends for his large 4th of July parties and his swimming pool.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 59 years, Marian, Buffalo; daughter, Nancy Roe, Davenport; son, Carl (Nancy) Graves, Buffalo; son-in-law, Bill Petersen, Davenport; grandchildren; Sara (Allen) Glover, Casey (Kristi) Roe, Stacy (Robert) Palmer, Tom (Miranda) Petersen, Lukie Roe, Chris (Kassie) Graves, Jacob (Dani) Graves, Mallory (Robert) Bartleson; 12 great grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Ella, Sydney, Molly, Ethan, Samuel, Kayleigh, Addison, Nicole, Jessica and Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Donna Jo Petersen and a son in law Leslie Roe.
