Donald Haack, 82, of Davenport, passed away on December 2, 2023 at Genesis East Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services will be held on December 8, 2023 at 3pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Don was born on July 25, 1941 in Parkersburg, IA to Berdette and Thelma (Hersey) Haack. Don was united in marriage to Bonnie Taylor on August 7, 1978 in Davenport, Iowa. Together they raised three children, Lynne, John, and David. Don worked for MidAmerican Energy for 48 years, retiring in September of 2008. Don spent most of his time with his family whether that was attending sporting events or watching the event recorded on DVR with his wife Bonnie. Don will be greatly missed by many friends and family.
Don is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, children; Lynne Lauer (Deep River, IA), John Lauer (Davenport, IA), and David Lauer Sr. (San Diego, CA), Sister; Berdyne Escher (Parkersburg, IA), Grandchildren; Jeremy Lee (Deep River, IA), Cory McDaniel (Davenport, IA), David Lauer Jr. (San Diego, CA), and Amanda Lauer (Moline, IL) and several great-grandchildren.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Bob and Gene Haack, a sister; Hilda Frasier.
