Donald C. Hendricks

Donald C. Hendricks, 96, of Bettendorf, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Good Samaritan center in Davenport. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 am until the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

Donald was born January 26, 1915 in Davenport, the son of Albert and Daisy (Neilssen) Hendricks. He served in the army during WWII. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Helen Koopmann on November 6, 1945 in Davenport.

Don worked at Thoms Proestler for thirty years as a sales representative. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of the Davenport Legion Post #26 and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and dancing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Helen, Bettendorf, children: Sandra Carlson, Lynn Center, IL; Linda Hendricks, AZ; Gary Hendricks, Bettendorf and Beth Hendricks, Utah and a granddaughter, Lindsay Leineman

His parents, son, Kevin and a sister, Violet preceded him in death.
