Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel with visitation starting two hours prior. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Donald was born a son of Glenn and Betty (Fitzpatrick) Martell on February 8, 1936 in Davenport, IA. He was united in marriage to Pat Healey and she later passed away. He then married Helen (Page) Huber Martell. Donald retired from Titan Wheel after 45 years of service. Donald liked NASCAR, street rods and fast cars in general. He also enjoyed carpentry, wood working and had a good listening ear. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; sister, Ruth (Johnny) Urmie, Durant, IA; children: Debbie (Charlie Johnston) Martell, Joe (Jo) Martell and Annette (Rich Morgan) Luckey all of Davenport, IA; step children: Tom Huber, Des Moines, IA, Jerry (Merry) Huber, Milan, IL, Ron (Deb) Huber, Milan, IL, Carrie (Patrick ) Murphy, Denver, CO, Brian (Tammy) Huber, Rock Island, IL, Lori Trisch, Paducah, KY and Lisa (Mark) Miller, Symsonia, KY; nineteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Pat; sister, Jean Bermal; and children, Danny and Bobbie Jean.
