Donald Edwin Teel

Donald Teel, 69, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1pm Thursday at the mortuary. Mr. Teel was born February 13, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1961, he married Darlene Dufault in Davenport. He later married Nancy Swope in 1987 in Davenport.

He retired from Caterpillar in Peoria and was co-owner, with his wife, Nancy, of the Hawkeye Tap in Davenport.

His hobbies included camping and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children: Doreen Teel, Donna Teel, and Doug Teel and his wife, Tammy; stepson Gary Peters; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a number of aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Teel; a daughter, Debby; and two grandchildren: Dezaray Overton and Anna Johnson.
