Donna M. Gerboth, 87, of LeClaire, IA, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, also at the Weerts Funeral Home. Donna was born August 26, 1933, to Harry and Lenna (Gillaspie) White in Lancaster, MO. During High School, she worked at Woolsworth. Following High School, Donna was employed at The Traveler’s until starting her family. On October 9, 1953, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Gerboth in Davenport, IA. Together they raised five children, Ronda, Brian, Kevin, Keith, and Julie. Donna enjoyed her life as a homemaker and being active in her church, LeClaire Baptist, where she was a member for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing piano and organ for services. During her later years, she sold Avon and substituted as a secretary for the Pleasant Valley School District before also working at WDLM. Donna also volunteered with missionary work remodeling buildings in Montana. In her free time, she loved sewing and was very talented with cross-stitch and crochet projects. Donna also liked helping Jim with the yard.
Donna will be missed by her husband of 67 years, Jim; her children, Ronda Stuckey, Brian (Linda) Gerboth, Kevin (Karen) Gerboth, Keith (Naomi) Gerboth, and Julie (Dan) Hantz; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a brother, Doyle (Nancy) White. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Imogene Meredith; a grandchild: Shantrell Stuckey; and a great grandchild, Caleb Kroeger.
