Donna J. Cameron, 92, passed away on March 29, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center of Silvis. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service in honor of Donna will take place 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Donna (Murray) Cameron was born on August 14, 1930 in Moline, Illinois to Elnora (Ohlson) and Edward Murray. On June 3, 1948, Donna graduated from United Township High School and three days later, she married Keith Russell at Silvis Heights Baptist Church. Together, Donna and Keith had three children; Richard, Susan, and Bruce. Donna’s first husband, Keith, passed away in 1969. She later found love again and got married to Donald Cameron in 1972. They moved to Clearwater, FL in 1976 and had many beloved years together, before he passed in 2004.
Donna was a homemaker and she loved to entertain guests. In her free time, she loved to play any and all tunes on her piano. Donna was a woman of faith as well, she was an active member of the First Christian Church in Clearwater, FL for many years. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to carry on Donna’s memory include her daughter, Susan (Donald) McNalley; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Elnora and Edward; sons, Richard Russell, Bruce Russell, and her brother, Richard Murray.
