Donna Lucille Winckler

Donna Lucille Winckler, 77, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital with her family by her side. Funeral services to honor Donna’s life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:30am at Westside Assembly of God, 3908 W. River Drive, Davenport. Visitation will be held before the service starting at 10am. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire, Iowa. Memorials in Donna’s name may be made to Westside Assembly of God.

Donna was born on January 23, 1946 in Unionville, Missouri to Dick and Dofa Herndon. She was united in marriage to Ronald Winckler on February 27, 1970 in Buffalo, Iowa; he passed away in 2021. Donna was very active in her children's school activities; she served many positions within the local PTA chapter, Davenport Central band parent boosters, Dads Club and Boy Scouts. Donna and Ron were very active at Westside Assembly of God Church and Donna worked at the Daycare. She was also a volunteer at the Arsenal Attic Thrift Shop.

Those left to honor Donna’s memory are her children Randy Deeds, Lesa (Craig) Stroup, Susan (Jim) Laures, and Ron Winckler; 8 grandchildren: Victoria Deeds, Bryan Deeds, Lauren Stroup, Tygren Stroup, Erica (Christian) Thompson, Christopher Laures, Jessica Laures, and Julian Winckler; and her sister Dixie Shipley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ron and her parents Dick and Dofa.
