Doris Mae Clark, 96, of Davenport, IA passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Ridgecrest Village.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.

Doris was born on November 13, 1922 to Frank and Muriel (Chandler) Williams in Davenport, IA. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Clark on September 26, 1941. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years.

Doris was family oriented and loved to have get-togethers, play cards and spend time with her family. She was an avid bowler and loved to sew, crochet and make things for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading novels, crossword puzzles, word searches and going to the casino. Doris was an excellent cook. She loved to laugh and see everyone around her have a good time. While her husband was alive, they loved to go dancing together. Her personality was gracious, thoughtful, and everyone enjoyed spending time with her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Steven (Carla) Clark, Jan Longenecker, Mark (Denice) Clark, Pamela (Ken) Carter and Brian (Carol) Clark; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard L. Clark; son, Douglas Clark; and siblings: Dwight (Betty) Williams, Wayne (Alice) Williams and Robert (Marge) Williams.
