Born April 12, 1925, Dottie graduated from Davenport High School, and had four children, Alan, Cindy, Johnie, and Shirlee.
She worked hard throughout her life, including several decades at the beauty counter at Walgreens in Davenport. She was head cosmetician at the time of her retirement.
Her faith and church were central to her life, and she enjoyed pottery, knitting and crocheting. She gifted each of her children, grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren with beautifully hand-crafted crocheted blankets that they continue to cherish and use. Many neighbors, friends, and family benefitted from her talents, receiving holiday decorations, baby booties, blankets, and slippers.
Dottie is survived by her brothers, Vern (Alice) Gray and Don (Jo) Gray; son, Alan Allshouse; daughters, Johnie Allshouse and Shirlee (Chuck) Walloch; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Gladys Gray; her sisters, Betty (Tony) Cook, Shirley (Bill) Smith, and Rosemary (Ralph) Gapenski; and her daughter, Cindy Allshouse.
