Dorothy J. Cady, 85, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012. A committal service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, April 6, 2012 in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. She was born November 30, 1926 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Bert and Mary (Sheumaker) Rominger. On October 2, 1948 she married Phillip E. Cady in East Moline, IL. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1987.
Mrs. Cady had formerly been employed by Servus Rubber and Ted’s Stop and Eat. However, she retired after fifteen years at Oscar Mayer. She was a member of the East Moline Foursquare Church.
Survivors include her children: Linda Cady, Steve Cady, Darcy Lambert; four grandchildren: Sam, Joellel, Tiffany and Jade; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Spurgeon of Ottumwa, IA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
