

Funeral services for Dorothy A. Faulkner, 68, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the mortuary. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Faulkner passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center – West Campus. Dorothy Alice McDonald was born on November 23, 1948 in Davenport, the daughter of John and Ruth (Channel) McDonald. In 1966 she married Laverne King Jr. She later married James Faulkner in 2001. Dorothy worked as a receptionist at the Rock Island Arsenal for 23 years until her retirement in 2003. She then began work as a demonstration associate at Sam’s Club until 2009. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed going to garage sales and took great pride in keeping a clean home for her family. She is survived by her Husband: James Faulkner of Davenport; Son: Richard (Tammy) King of Clarence, IA; Step-Son: Lee Parrish of Moline, IL; Son-in-Law: John Warren; Sister: Fay (Carl) Wood; Brothers: Johnny McDonald, Walt (Michele) McDonald; 4 Grandchildren: Connie Moffit, Elaine Sheber, Nicholas Parrish, Jason Parrish; and her dog: Sadie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Warren in 2011. Memorials may be directed to the Scott County Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
