

Visitation for Dorothy J. Ladehoff, 84, of Davenport will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. Inurnment will be held in the mausoleum at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the committal service at the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. Mrs. Ladehoff passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport. Dorothy Jane Heick was born on Christmas Eve in 1932 in Cedar County, IA, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Wilson) Heick. In her earlier years she owned and operated “The Question Mark” bar in downtown Davenport, and was also co-owner of “Lloyd’s Tap” in Calamus, IA. In her later years, Dorothy earned her high school diploma and studied theology at St. Ambrose University. In 1987 she married John E. Ladehoff. Together they lived in Florida for a few years where they were members of the Eagles Club, and thoroughly enjoyed socializing, going to dinner, playing cards, and golfing. Dorothy was a determined woman always having sage advice for those around her. She was the glue that held her household together. She is survived by her Children: Cyndy Mueller, Michael (An Nguyen) Behrens, Pam (Rich) Petersen, Dawna (Tom Leonard) Wisdom, Lloyd (Rita) Peters Jr.; Brother: Marion Heick; 19 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Ladehoff, Lloyd Peters, and Roy Behrens; daughters, Tish Schurbon, Karol Heston, and Baby Marcia; daughter-in-law, Angie Behrens; son-in-law, Fred Mueller; a granddaughter, April May; and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Dorothy.
