Dorothy M. Rauch

Funeral services for Dorothy M. Rauch, 92, of Davenport, will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mrs. Rauch died on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center West Campus in Davenport.Dorothy Mae Hill was born on July 4, 1918 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Edgar and Louise (Hoffman) Hill. On June 24, 1939 she married Harold V. Rauch in Davenport. He preceded her in death in November of 1973. Mrs. Rauch attended business school and earned her degree in accounting. She worked for several years in the bookkeeping department at the former Davenport Bank, and also in the housekeeping department at St. Ambrose College. Mostly, she was a Mom and Grandma. She enjoyed crafting, playing games and puzzles.Survivors include - a Son: Eugene (Catherine) Rauch of Aberfoyle, Scotland; 4 Daughters: Karol (her partner Julie Schalow) of San Diego, CA, Rita (Gary) Fink of Eldridge, IA, Gale Myerowitz of Sunrise, FL, and Shelley (Robert) Griffing of Long Grove, IA; 1 Brother: Donald (Eileen) Hill of Poplar Grove, IL; and 6 Grandchildren: Christine, Toni, Lindsay, Sarah, Michael and Kevin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Robert.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
