Earl P. Monholland

Earl P. Monholland, 78, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home with his family by his side, after a prolonged illness. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kings Harvest Church or Café on the Vine. Earl was born April 6, 1936 in Davenport, the son of Earl P. Sr. and Harriet M. (Eastman) Monholland. He was united in marriage to Janet Wheeler on December 12, 1964 in Rock Island, IL.

He had been a horticulturist with the City of Davenport for 44 years. He enjoyed participating in Civil War Re-Enactments and along with his wife, was a member of the Quad City Clown Troop. Earl also enjoyed fossil hunting with his grandchildren, game hunting and fishing. Those celebrating his life include his loving wife of 49 years, Janet; daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Mark Howell; grandchildren, Zachary and Noel and a sister, Juanita Monholland, all of the Quad Cities.
