Eddie “Ed” L. Kane, 68 of Bettendorf passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Per his wishes he will be cremated. A private inurnment service will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Ed was born on July 16, 1957 in Des Moines, IA to Herman and Anna (Lutz) Kane. He was united in marriage to Erlinda Hanssen on July 4, 1995 in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2023. Ed was employed at Fairbanks as a Scale Technician for 51 years.
Ed is survived by his children, Eddie (April) Kane Jr. of Omaha, NE, Samantha (Denny) Kane Tibbitts of Des Moines, IA and Christopher Hoffmann of Davenport, IA.; grandchildren, Drake and Isabella Hoffmann and Adyn and Caesyn Kane and siblings, Vi Hayes, George Rivers and Kenneth Kane.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Roy Kane.
