Per her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Christ Church, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or the Alzheimer’s Association. Please share condolences at www.rungemortuary.com.
Edith was born on May 20, 1937 to Warren W. and Goldie F. (Oswalt) Fulton in Ottumwa, Iowa.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education at Iowa State University, where she met her husband Robert D. Stone. They were married May 31, 1959. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2001.
In addition to teaching Home Economics, she was a homemaker, worked as a classroom aide for the Davenport Community School District, and was a librarian for the Stone County Library for several years in Galena, Missouri.
She is survived by her children Colleen (Gary) Budelier, Davenport, and Michael, Galena, Missouri; her sister, Marilyn Steele; grandchildren Christina (Andy) Stockman, Rachel (Neal) Paulsen, and Matthew Budelier; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Jim Stone; sister-in-law Janet Cornish, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Warren Fulton, Jr.
