Edna M. Wagner

Funeral services for Edna M. Wagner, 75, of Davenport will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Wagner passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Edna Marie Powers was born on December 13, 1941 in Davenport, the daughter of Michael and Della (Scharfenberg) Powers. In 1957 she married James Wagner. He preceded her in death in 2011. Edna enjoyed card club with her cousins, time with her sisters, and going to her aquatic exercise class. She loved traveling, especially out west, and also playing slot machines and bingo. During Monday night football, she could be found playing dice and cheering on the Oakland Raiders. Edna was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She is survived by Daughters: Debra Wagner, Tracy Salkil, Katrina (Brad) Early, all of Davenport; Sons: James (Kimberly) Wagner, Jr. and Bruce Wagner, both of Davenport; Sisters: Marge (Donald) Laverenz of Davenport, Della Jean (Marty) Andresen of Pennsylvania; 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Gimm. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
