Visitation will be held on Monday April 25th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary with the funeral services immediately following. Memorials may be made out to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Ed was born on November 6, 1964 in Davenport to Daniel and Mary Groenbeck. On September 12, 2009 he married Gina Fiorito in Las Vegas, Nevada. In total they enjoyed 27 years together. Ed taught cast iron metal sculpture classes at Augustana College briefly, while spending 41 years as a logistics/ warehouse manager for various companies. He Co-owned D’Lux Events with his wife and also worked at Big Ten Rentals. He was a perfectionist at everything he did.
Ed was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also enjoyed anime and anything marvel, especially Captain America. Ed was an artist specializing in sculpture, graphic art, and cartooning.
Those left to cherish Ed’s memory include his wife, Gina, brothers, Rance Groenbeck and Robert Groenbeck, sister, Kat Groenbeck, Nephews Daniel and Christian. Ed leaves behind many very loving friends, neighbors and extended family members, you know who you are.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and mother in law Norma Fiorito.
