

Eldon Bruce White, 82, of Milan, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at UnityPoint Trinity in Rock Island. A Celebration of Life is tentatively scheduled for October at the Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island. The Runge Mortuary is privileged to assist his family.
Eldon was born in Bushnell, Illinois on March 14, 1944, to Frank and Irene (Blagden) White. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked as an electrician and in maintenance for several companies including Atlas Roofing.
He married Kaye (Kraft) Seys in 1983 in Rock Island and celebrated over forty years of marriage. He had a bigger-than-life personality and always willing to help others. Eldon was a faithful volunteer at the Putnam Museum for many years and a member of the Milan American Legion to support his comrades.
When he wasn’t working, Eldon had a great passion for golf, and anything related to space. He could tell you the mission, who was onboard, and when it took place.
Those left to honor and continue his legacy include his loving wife, Kaye, children: Elizabeth (Michael) Webb, Dodgeville, WI, Jennifer (Matt) Long, Normal, IL, Kimberly (Joshua) Bruske, Silvis, IL and Tammy Hendrickson, Davenport; grandchildren: Emma Webb, Zackary Albers, Alec Webb, Riley Long, Piper Long and Sebastian Bruske; sisters: Betty Steele, Linda Kunz and Cheryl Sewell, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Tom Arnold. In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Long and several aunts and uncles.
