Esperanza Vazquez, 91, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 7:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Esperanza was born August 20, 1920 in Mexico City. She married Hector Vazquez, Sr. on January 11, 1964 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; he preceded her in death on May 7, 2009. She was a member of the Cross Point Church in Davenport. In her spare time, Esperanza enjoyed reading, singing and cooking.
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Ana Maria Carrillo Navarro; Eva (Alvaro) Perales; Aureliano (Petra) Vazquez; Hector (Evelyn) Vazquez, Jr. and Daniel (Maria) Vazquez; 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
