The grace and peace she carried is unmatched and to know her, you felt blessed. Most knew her as Mema, always impactful, wisest of words, incredibly hardworking. She unconditionally loved her family with focus, determination and her faith in the lord.
Etta was born on March 26, 1935 in Massbach, IL to Martin and Luella (Smith) Ehredt. She graduated from Stockton High School. She was a long time employee of GE and retired in 1997.
Etta was a member of Argo Fay Methodist Church and enjoyed a variety of hobbies over the years. These included cooking, riding horses, cards, reading, bird watching, traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin (deceased September 5, 1976) and Luella (deceased December 17, 2002); a brother, James A (Spike) Ehredt in October 1963; a daughter-in-law, Diane Cox; a brother-in-law, Bob Duff; a great grandson and a son, Donald Martin who was born April 11, 1956 and passed April 12, 1956.
Etta is survived by partner, David Coyle; sons, Charles (Chuck) (and partner Tristan) of New Orleans, LA, Donavon (Sherry) of Pollard, AR, and Jason Cox of Davenport, IA; Daughters, TJ Coyle (Roger) of Thomson, IL, Susan Pulfrey (Eric) of Thomson, IL.; Grandchildren: Jaimie, Christy, Melanie, Jana, Raney, Keely, Melissa, Lalania and Felicia; A great number of Great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Duff and a brother Martin (Butch) Ehredt. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been ordered and private internment following. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers/plants, the family requests donations be made to Caroline Mark Home and/or Argo Fay United Methodist Ladies Aide, all organizations Etta strongly supported.
