A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. His final resting place will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Rusty was born on December 16, 1954, in Clinton, Iowa to Eugene and Almeda (Evans) Case. He married the love of his life Beverly Cox on July 16, 1988, in Davenport, beginning a marriage filled with many years of laughter, and love.
He earned an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology and spent his career as an Auto Mechanic. A true jack of all trades, he was great with his hands and could fix just about anything.
Rusty was an amateur Astronomer and a member of PAC and QCAS. He also was a ham radio operator which he used for storm spotting for the National Weather Service. Rusty also earned a third-degree black belt in karate, enjoyed hunting and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He especially cherished the time he spent with his beloved Siberian Husky Luci.
Above all Rusty loved being surrounded by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beverly; his children, Theresa (Sean) Jacobsmeier, Melissa (Kyle) Morehead, and Steven (Brittany) Case; brother, Robert Case; four grandchildren, Benny, David, Alice, and Megan; and multiple nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He was in preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Judy and Robin; and his brother, Ed.
