Eugenia “Genia” Lantau, 76, passed away at her home on July 8, 2026. Genia was born on June 18, 1950, in East Moline, IL, daughter of Virgil C. and Audrey (Claver) Wright. Services will be held privately by her family and close friends on Monday July 13, 2026 at 11am.
Genia spent most of her career working in the school cafeteria at Sudlow and West High School in Davenport, IA. In her spare time she liked to do cross stitching, coloring, and sewing. She especially loved her cats and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving Genia is her spouse, Larry Lantau. Children: Stacy Wright, Amber (Andy) Paul, Gwen (Lee) Jones. Grandchildren: Hunter Boldt, Katelyn (Andrew) Hesse, Andrea Paul, Molly Jones, Riley Jones.
She is preceded in death by both parents and brother Virgil L. Wright.
Genia was a loving wife, mom and grandma, who will be deeply missed.
