Evelyn Lucille Gillmor

Evelyn L. Gillmor, 89, of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Riverview Manor in Pleasant Valley. Per her request, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa. No visitation or services are scheduled. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Evelyn was born June 16, 1924 in Pleasant Valley, a daughter of Louis and Margaret (Mueller) Clemons. She married Clifford C. Dawson. He preceded her in death. She later married John F. Gillmor. He also preceded her in death.

Evelyn was employed by the Bettendorf Schools prior to her retirement. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Those honoring her memory include her children: John Dawson and Eveanne Dawson, both of Davenport; Victoria Anderson of Petersburg, Alaska; Sandra Fullner of Omaha, Nebraska and Mark Gillmor of Bettendorf; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a brother, Thomas Clemons in California.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter Coleen Clementi and five brothers and sisters.
