The family will greet friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday March 18, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. Funeral service will then be held at 2:00pm in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel where burial will follow. Memorials in her name may be made to American Cancer Society. Evelyn loved being a mom, grandma and aunt. She looked forward to family gatherings and attending their school and sporting events. Evelyn loved to travel with her family, including her sister and brother-in-law. They traveled throughout the United States with Colorado being her favorite destination. She was an amazing navigator with keen sense of direction. Evelyn loved to watch Chicago Cubs and College Sports.
Evelyn was born on July 10, 1935, in Mystic, IA to James & Edna (Stirts) Ramsey. She was united in marriage to Robert L Heath in 1963 in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death in 1994. Evelyn had been a custodian with the Davenport School System for 20 plus years prior to her retirement in 2000.
Survivors include Daughter LuAnn (Jeff) Steen, Sons Paul (Nicole) Heath and Jack Lorenzen all of Davenport, Grandchildren: Jennifer, Michele, Melissa, Sarah, Laura, Lindsay, Jenna, Hayden and Payton, and seventeen Great Grandchildren. Sister and brother-in law Maxine (Wiley) Barnes. Many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Rosemary, and three brothers James, Thomas and Robert.
