Fern V. Liedtke

A private memorial service for Fern V. Liedtke, 91, of Davenport will be held at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. She will be laid to rest at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Mrs. Liedtke passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Fern Virginia Lund was born on August 9, 1921 in Davenport, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Tornberg) Lund. On September 6, 1941 she married Arnold C. Liedtke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1987. Throughout her life she was a member of the Lutheran faith, attending Parkview, Trinity, and Holy Cross Lutheran Churches. Fern’s unsurpassed love for her husband and children will fondly be remembered by those who knew her. She is survived by four Daughters: Carol Neumann of Cedar Falls, IA, Nancy (Dick) Green of Davenport, Donna (Don) Arnold of Fairfield, IA, Marcia (Cliff) Petty of Long Grove, IA; a Son: Gregory Liedtke of Eldridge, IA; 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Davenport Lutheran Home and Genesis Hospice for the loving care provided for their mother.
