I met Fred years ago when my wife Melanie and I first moved to Walcott. I will always enjoy the time I spent with him at Community Club feeds. He liked a cold beer and a funny joke. Fred usually had a good story at the ready. He was quick witted and had an impish quality about him that made everyone smile. Fred was one of the "good ones". My wife and I were so sad to hear of his passing. Our hearts go out to his family during this time of profound loss.
Rest in peace Fred,
Tim and Melanie Hayes

Dear Judy and Family, I was so sad to receive the news that Fred has passed. He was such a nice person. He was always willing to help someone in need. He came and helped me with a problem with my smoke alarms a couple of years ago. His wood working products were wonderful and he always donated to our church silent auctions. Our church family really missed Fred and Judy when they moved. This Covid is such a bad virus and it took Fred from us. Take care Judy and family - you are in my prayers. Love, Valerie Schmidt

Judy and Family:
As you know, Clarence and Mabel were my God parents and Fred and I were close age wise. We grew up being close and even took some vacations together.
I guess one of my most vivid memories was how much Fred hated mowing that big yard at the farm!
I extend my deepest sympathy to you and the family.
With prayers and love:

Judy and family,
So sorry to see Fred's passing in Alabama from COVID. Such a loss to all who knew him. He was always kind to Larry and me, and always about our son, Brett, who worked with him at French and Hecht. Brett admired him. Honored to have known him. He will be missed. May you remember the good times.

Our sincere condolences to Judy and her family. Fred was an Elder in the Blue Grass Presbyterian Church where we got to know him and where he generously volunteered his time, talent, and effort. He was a good friend and family man, easy to talk to and to a be with. He enjoyed a funny story, or joke.
We were saddened when we lost him to Alabama and even more sad when we learned of his passing. He will always have a place in our hearts and he will be dearly missed.
