Gary L. Anderson
February 14, 1952 – September 30, 2011
Gary L. Anderson, 59, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities - 4700 53rd Street Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Gary was born February 14, 1952 in Marshalltown, IA (one of triplets), the son of Louis and Mary Gene (Hoopengardner) Anderson. He was united in marriage to Joanne McKeever on August 18, 1973 in Des Moines, IA. He was an amazing Papa to his two grandsons, enjoyed grilling and learning new cooking techniques along with trivia nights and was an avid Bulldogs, Hawkeyes, Bears and Cubs fan.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 38 years, Joanne; children and spouses, Beth (Justin) White, Bettendorf and Jonathan (Angie) Anderson, Kaiserslautern, Germany; grandsons, Logan and Anderson; mother, Mary Gene Anderson, Marshalltown; sister, Vicky Hacker, Des Moines; and brothers, Bill Anderson, Peoria and Randy (Nancy) Anderson, Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis.

Dad, I love you so much and miss you more than I coul have ever expressed. I know we had some rough times early on, but you become one of my most treasured friends and an amazing papa. I will do my best to take care of mom and kep your memory alive with Logan and Anderson. We love you so much and I miss you terribly-I will visit you very soon.

Dad, I love you so much andmiss you more than I could have ever expressed to you when you were here. I know we had some rough times in my earlier years, but you become my friend and I looked to you for so many things. I will never forget the last night we got to spend together at Logan's game and will do my best to take care of mom and keep your memory alive with Logan and Anderson-they loved you SO much, papa. Joann, I'm real sorry to here about Gary passing. I worked with him at Terminix. He was a good friend and even took time to see my youngest son play football. He will be missed and loved.

I will always remember Gary with fondness.He worked with me at Terminix for several years and really helped me learn the sales field and really cared if his co-workers did ok.I counted him as a friend.I ran into him a few months ago at the grocery store and was able to Thank him for helping me.Im glad I got to!
