Gary Hansen, 62, of Milan, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 13, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 11 am-1pm Friday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the service. He was born April 17, 1949, a son of John and Jean (Kuehl) Hansen.
Mr. Hansen was employed by John Deere prior to his retirement. He was a great cook, an outdoorsman, and enjoyed family picnics and parties.
Survivors include two daughters: Sherry Miller and Pamela Vasquez; four grandchildren: Nathan, Brittany, and Hope Hansen and Icarus Vasquez; a great grandson Brayden Porter-Hansen; and three brothers: Robert, John, and Mark Hansen.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Hansen, companion, Karen Brown, his parents, and a brother, Richard Hansen.
