I worked with George at Kartridg Pak. I remember when his father in law died he had me transcribe shorthand notes left.  He wanted to pay me but I didn’t want anything.  He insisted he take me for lunch.  I don’t remember where we went but I remember his car.  I think it was a Lincoln and to me it seemed really big and like sitting in a comfortable chair.  

So sorry to hear of Your loss. I (Linda Search) have many good memories of playing volleyball with George, Marilyn, and my sister Valerie (Search) and the rest of the group. Sincere condolences to the family. 

Curt, Gary, and Della were my friends when we were young. My sister, Dana, and I hung out at their house a lot. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard didn't seem to mind us all  playing out on their back deck, or playing cars amongst the moss roses out front.
Mr. Leonard was around outdoors with his cool projects like the  awesome Pantera and his Purple Martin  houses in their back yard.
Mr. Leonard took time to play with us such as throwing the football in the yard and taking us kayaking.  The true memory that makes me smile, was his whistle at dusk  signifying it was time to return home! His kids returned to their home and that meant the rest of us should return to our homes, too. Mr. Leonard was a great neighbor and a special part of my early years.

My thoughts are with you.  George was a great friend.

George was the first Engineer I met, who not only was just about the smartest, he was also one of  the nicest.  I was honored to work with George on several projects through the years, and one of the most important things he taught me, was good brackets make good machines. George was not only a mentor, he was a friend. Sort of lost track of him over the years, but often remember the daily lunch trips to the new house being built near Argo, his help on figuring out complex equations, and his straight forward approach to solving engineering problems. I'm sure there is now a void on Earth with his passing. His family, I hope, finds comfort in knowing George was the type of person who made a positive difference for those he interacted with.

George was always so sweet and smiled at the kids and I when we visited my mom in the unit.  We did not know him well, or as others did, but we enjoyed seeing him every week.
