.Gerald “Scoobie” Comer, Jr., 54, of Davenport passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Genesis East. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the sons' education fund. He was born August 25, 1959 in Davenport, the son of Gerald Comer, Sr. and Janet Reyes. For many years he was employed by Randall Food Stores and later by Blackhawk Foundry. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid White Sox and Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at family picnics.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew and Aaron, both of Davenport; longtime companion Pamela Trefftzs, of Davenport, his mother, Janet Reyes of sister, Dana (Mark) Skinner, all of Davenport; nieces Shannon and Sara and nephew Mark, and great niece, Ava.
