Michael was born on August 13, 1947, in Moline, IL to Gerry and Betty Foster.
Michael grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, including his love for hunting, which was passed down by his father. After graduating high school, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Michael was a proud airman, who was a member of the Color Guard and American Legion for decades.
Following his discharge from the United States Airforce, Michael returned to his roots and spent his career working in Sales for many years, before retiring. While he was proud of his work, he lived for the weekends. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to spend his time in the woods hunting, a passion he shared with his father, children, grandchildren, and friends. He was known for his love of nature, his patience in the deer stand, his skill as a marksman and his undying love for his family.
Michael is survived by his cherished soulmate, Paula Foster (Overton-Goulet) of almost 30 years, his children, Allison Massey, Tawnya Aprati, and Travis (Amy) Overton, his grandchildren Makayla Rangel, Jasiah and Jordan Massey, and Nathanael, Naomi and Nora Overton, his brother Steve Foster, and sister Jackie Achenbaugh. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his son Trent Overton.
Service to be held privately for immediate family and close friends at Runge Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Rock Island Arsenal.
