Gerald Irvine Tebbutt

Gerry I. Tebbutt, 88, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes. Gerry was born on April 17, 1936 in Clinton, Ontario, Canada, the son of Irvine and Edith Tebbutt. He was united in marriage to Shirley Margaret Deane on October 10th, 1959 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Gerry retired from John Deere after 30 years as Manager of the Plow-planter Works in Moline, Illinois. He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing and sports of all kinds. Especially great at Limericks.

Those left to honor Gerry’s memory include his wife Shirley, his daughter Wendy of Wayzata, Minnesota, son Greg (Paula) of Fernandina Beach, Florida; three grandchildren Jamie, Matt, and Carly and one great-grandchild Wilder; and his sister Marilyn of Mitchell, Ontario, Canada.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack and Gordon.
