Geraldine "Gerri" Bell

Funeral services for Geraldine “Gerri” R. Bell, 78, of Davenport will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Buffalo, IA. Mrs. Bell passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at The Good Samaritan Center in Davenport. Geraldine Rae Viner was born on April 2, 1937 in Davenport, the daughter of Albert and Georgian (Wickey) Viner. On November 23, 1955, she married Edward B. Bell in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death in 1990. Gerri worked as a machinist at the former Bendix Company in Davenport and later at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed cooking and going to car shows with her husband. Most importantly she loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her Children: Edward “Ed” (Robin) Bell II of Davenport, Linda Bell of Key Largo, FL, Glenda Bell of Davenport, Tricia Bell of Davenport; a Sister: Marsha Westbrook of Bettendorf; a Brother: Wayne (Nina) Viner of Buckeye, AZ; 14 Grandchildren and numerous Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a Daughter: Patti Ann; Sister: JoAnn Caudle; Brothers: Ronnie and Eldon Viner; and Best Friend: Loretta Viner. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
