Jerri was born on December 19, 1931 in Davenport, Iowa, to Pearl (Adolphi) and Walter Balmer. She was united in marriage to Billy Lee Munson on November 28, 1953. In 1955 they had a son, William Lee Munson. Billy passed away on January 4, 2019 and his son William passed in the Fall of 2020. William gave her two grandchildren, Craig and Timothy.
Geraldine was very creative and artistic. She created her own jewelry and pottery business, and was listed in The Association of World Fine China Gold Artistic Painters. Her works, paintings, and pottery received many awards and were featured in many publications. Jerri made and gave away storm shelter candles and also enjoyed sewing. Geraldine was the original owner of Flowers by Jerri, which she established out of her house where she grew flowers for her arrangements. Pictures of her flower gardens were often published in the newspaper. She moved the business to North Pine Street in in Davenport, where she eventually sold the business to her employee, whose daughter still owns it today. Geraldine and Billy lived on W. Kimberly Rd in Davenport, and they had many stories of their life from their careers, military involvement, and overseas travel. Jeri was loved by everyone who met her, and will be missed by all.
Those left to honor her memory include her grandchildren, Craig and Timothy Munson, her brother-in-law Arthur (Jean) Smith, and close friends James and Laurie Stald.
