Glenn F. Dixon, 91, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Country Manor Nursing Home. Funeral service to honor his memory will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11am; visitation will be before the service starting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Glenn’s name may be made to the Quad City Honor Flight or to North Pine Church of God.
Glenn was born on July 8, 1932 in Centerville, Iowa to John and Lula Dixon. Following high school, he served during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. Glenn was united in marriage to Wilma Capps on March 19, 1955 in Unionville, Missouri. He worked at Oscar Mayer for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. Following his retirement, Glenn enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it be in his gardens, fishing, or hunting; if it was nice outside he was outside. He was also an active member at North Pine Church of God.
Those left to honor his memory are his son Tim (Kippy) Dixon; his grandsons Chandler and Quentin; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma; his parents; son Dean Dixon; and 5 brothers and a sister.
