Jean was born May 8, 1942, in Jerome, IA, the daughter of Pete and Anna (Kruzich) Goffe. She moved to Davenport, IA, as a young girl and attended school there. She married young and quickly had a daughter, Audrey, and a son, Don. Several years later, she had another son, Rob. She lived her entire life in Iowa and Illinois, but mostly in Davenport. She married Damon Frison on September 5, 1990, in Davenport, IA. He passed away in 2018.
She had a variety of jobs and interests, but her true passion was creating art. For years, she painted ceramics with precision and beauty. She loved to paint landscapes and nature when she was younger. Later, she expanded to creating small paintings of anything that caught her interest and enjoyed giving them out to family. She was known for decorating her house and would spend hours painting walls in new colors and changing her décor. To rehabilitate her wrist, she created hundreds of blankets and afghans that she gave away to family and folks in need.
Jean was the grounded, level-headed rock of the family. She had a difficult life that left little room for flights of fancy. She was a survivor who lived life on her terms. She could always be depended upon to provide help and practical advice in a pinch. She will be deeply missed.
Jean is survived by her daughter Audrey Bellson and her husband Frank; her two sons Donald (Don) Weber and Robert (Rob) Meyer and his wife Betty; her grandchildren Adam, Hayden and Courtney Weber and Serena and Alex Meyer; and her sister Loretta Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Damon; her parents; her brothers Dick and Larry; and her grandson Jordan Weber.
