Gloria S. Rasmussen

Gloria S. Rasmussen, 89, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 109 E. 14th Street, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Thursday at the church. Burial will be at 12 Noon on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Floral Hills Cemetery in Oelwein, Iowa. Online condolences may be made at www.RungeMortuary.com.

Gloria was born July 4, 1923 in Wellington, New Zealand. On March 31, 1944 she married Leo L. Rasmussen in New Zealand. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1991.

She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children: Bob (Marlene) Rasmussen, Ray (Deborah) Rasmussen, and Pam (Randy) Lansing; grandchildren: Nathan, Jim, Elisabeth, Michael, Allison, and Clare; and great grandchildren: Ethan, Ellie, Mollie June, Connor, Layla, and Addison and a niece, Gloria Sinclair of New Zealand.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelli, her parents, and a brother, Robert.
