Gloria Jean Wilkins

Gloria Wilkins, 72, of Davenport passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 with her family at her side. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am at St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport, on Monday, March 14, 2016. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Gloria was born on September 2, 1943 in Davenport, IA the daughter of Mike and Julia (Almanza) Mendoza, Sr. She was united in marriage to Samuel B. Wilkins, Sr. on March 7, 1964 in Bettendorf, IA. Gloria enjoyed reading, films, Elvis and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Those left to honor her memory include daughters: Tina (Mike) Hauser, Stacey (Leo) Kelly, Ann (Terrence McGinn) Malsam; son, Samuel (Jamie) Wilkins, Jr.; former son-in-law, Craig Malsam; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers: Michael (Kim) Mendoza, Bob (Debbie) Mendoza and Terry (Michelle) Mendoza; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam and brother, Jerry Mendoza. A special “Thank You” goes to the staff at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
