Gregory S. Haynes

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Gregory S. Haynes, 61, of Davenport, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial will follow at the Inland Cemetery, Bennett, IA. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the mortuary. Mr. Haynes died on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf following a lengthy illness.

Gregory Scott Haynes was born on November 23, 1957 in Davenport, IA, the son of Cameron and Lois (Kester) Haynes. On July 7, 2007 he married Susan Rae Trondson here in Davenport. Mr. Haynes worked as a truck driver for many years, most recently for Murry Transport retiring due to failing health. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved supporting the Iowa Hawkeye's, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He most especially loved tending his yard and landscaping.

Surviving members of the family include -Surviving members of the family include - his Wife: Susan of Davenport; Daughter, Vicki Ramirez; Son, Ryan Haynes both of Bend OR; 3 Step Children; Brooke (Andy) Tobey of Davenport, IA; Blaire Farley of Raymore, MO and Jeremy (Amy) Sacker of New Prague, MN; 2 Brothers: Cameron "Skeeter" Haynes of Davenport and Gordon Haynes of Princeton, IA; and 9 Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.
