Harriet A Webb

Harriet A. Webb, 92, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Davenport Lutheran Home

Harriet was born December 11, 1919 in Davenport, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Beguhn) Dawartz. She attended Davenport High School and graduated from Brown Business College at the top of her class. She was formerly married to Willard Webb on August 9, 1941 in Davenport.

She worked as a secretary for Republic Electric for twenty-four years retiring January 1, 1985. She was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport, where she was very active. She also was an experienced baker and liked to bowl, and knit, making blankets for all her grandchildren. She was greatly loved and respected by her children and grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Michael (Nancy) Webb, Mesa, AZ; Jonathan W. Webb; East Moline, IL; and Merilee Kraft, Davenport; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; Her parents and a sister, Margaret preceded her in death.
