

Harry Odum Duncan, 86, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Davenport. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 12:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until 12:00 pm at the mortuary. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Harry was born December 13, 1927 in Granite City, IL; the son of Ernest and Grace Lenore (Odum) Duncan. He was united in marriage to Lois Jean McKinley on August 9, 1947 in Chariton, IA. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Harry received his Associate of Arts Degree from SW Baptist College. He retired from Oscar Mayer in 1988 in Nashville, TN and then moved to Davenport. He attended Baptist churches all his life. His memberships included the Masonic Lodge,
Scottish Rite, Shrine and the American Legion. Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 66 years, Lois; daughters: Patricia Jean (Paul) Seebeck, Tipton, IA and Kathleen Rae Sloan, Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Michael Everett and Phillip Duncan Seebeck; Daniel Joseph and Stephen Paul (Becky) Fairall and Jennifer Rae Fairall (Charles) McCarter; great grandchildren: Chyanna and Emilee Seebeck; Ashlynn and Brennan Fairall; Duncan and Lila McCarter and Noelle, Jude and Sloane Seebeck. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brothers, Richard and Jeremiah.
