Harry F Nolan Jr.

Harry F. Nolan, Jr., 87, of Davenport, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Harry was born September 30, 1923 in Davenport, the son of Harry F. and Lulu (Renick) Nolan, Sr. He was united in marriage to Irma Behr on September 10, 1966 in Rock Island. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Harry worked in the Department of Public Works for the City of Davenport for over thirty years. After retiring, he worked for fifteen years at Sears. He loved animals, especially dogs.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Irma, Davenport, children: Kayrene Purin, FL; Dick (Amy) Thomas, Illinois; Roger (Preeya) Thomas, WY; Nancy Thomas, Rodney Thomas (Lisa) and Bryan (Cindie) Nolan, all of Davenport; Tim (Jackie) Nolan, WI; and Jeff (Jane) Nolan, WY; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, Tom (Darlene) Nolan, Davenport.

His parents, a sister, Cleo and a brother in infancy preceded him in death.
