

DAVENPORT — J. Michael Sullivan, 64, of Davenport, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at the mortuary. He was born February 4, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Michael F. and Marjorie M. (Lambert) Sullivan. He served in the United States Air Force, involved in the Minuteman Missile Program and was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, having achieved two degrees. Upon graduation, he began a 38-year career with John Deere. On November 21, 1992, he married Jill Kennedy in Davenport.
Mr. Sullivan was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed carpentry and caring for his lawn.
Survivors include his wife, Jill; two sons, Michael and Shawn (Elizabeth); two stepdaughters, Kerri and Lisa; a stepson, Scott (Kristy); six grandchildren; his mother, Marjorie; and three brothers, Patrick (Jan), Kelly (Bert) and Tim (Barb) Sullivan.
